RESPECT & BEHAVIOUR
Stage Kids students are required to show respect and consideration to their tutors and each other. It is an integral part of the school ethos to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone to enjoy. Any disruptive or intolerant behaviour will be reported to parents in the first instance. We will work with parents to resolve any underlying issues, however, persistent bad behaviour or behaviour that we feel is detrimental to the school, our staff or other students will result in that student being asked to leave classes.
UNIFORM & BELONGINGS
There will be a compulsory uniform of a school T-shirt priced at £8. Uniform must be worn at all classes, with black leggings or black track suit bottoms. Required footwear is trainers.
Stage Kids cannot be held responsible for the loss of any personal items or possessions. Jewellery should not be worn. Stud earrings are acceptable.
If a student must bring a mobile phone to classes it will be at their own risk. We ask that all mobiles are switched off or on silent during lessons. Making / receiving / checking calls or messages during classes will not be permitted.
LEAVING SCHOOL PREMISES
Junior and Intermediate students must be collected from their last lesson by a parent or older sibling. Please advise us in advance, preferably by email or text, if you have asked any other adult to collect your child. No student from this age group is allowed to leave on their own or meet a parent outside.
To comply with Health & Safety regulations, any student who needs to leave classes early, MUST inform their tutor or a member of staff on the day so that they can be marked off the register. This applies to all age groups.
Please ensure we are kept up to date with contact details for all parents and guardians. In the event of a student becoming ill or needing medical attention we will contact parents or emergency contact numbers. We assure all parents and guardians that your personal details will not be passed on to any third party, in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. If we are unable to contact an appropriate adult, we will act as loco parentis and seek medical attention as we judge appropriate. Please make sure we are kept up to date with any necessary medical information.
PAYMENT OF FEES
Fees are payable in advance on or before the first day of each term. We regret that we are unable to accept weekly payments for classes.
A second child will receive a 10% discount off their fees. A third child is free of charge. The free place is offered to brothers and sisters only and cannot be extended to other relatives or friends. Fees cannot be refunded for non - attendance at classes.
From time to time we will also take photographs or video footage during classes/rehearsals/ shows etc., which may be used on our website or for other advertising material. Please advise the office, in writing, if you have any objection to images of your son/daughter being used for this purpose.
We hope your son or daughter will remain with us for many years, but when the time does come to say goodbye we require a minimum of four weeks written notice from a parent/guardian. This notice must be given prior to the end of term to enable us to offer the place elsewhere.
In the event of a student not returning to a new term, without giving the appropriate written notice, an invoice will be issued for four weeks class fees, in lieu of notice.
To avoid embarrassment to students, please let us know if your son or daughter is a slow reader or has dyslexia or any other learning issues. We will always endeavour to offer extra help where needed.
All health, educational and personal information is treated with the strictest confidence.
Your son or daughter will find a warm welcome at Stage Kids, and we sincerely hope that their time with us will build confidence and give them many happy memories.
